About exchange rates

An exchange rate is the price of one currency in terms of another. For example, if 1 USD = 1.35 SGD, then 100 USD converts to 135 SGD. This tool fetches live public reference rates for the conversion.

The figure shown is a mid-market reference rate. Banks and money changers add a spread and fees, with a lower buy rate and a higher sell rate, so the actual rate you get will differ. Confirm with your provider before exchanging or remitting.

FAQ

Why is it different from my bank?
Banks and changers add a margin to the mid-market rate and may charge fees, so their buy/sell rates differ from the reference rate.
